The OMD tool is a PC application that takes the starting and ending location as input and downloads all maps at different zoom levels from providers like Google Earth, Google Maps, VE, etc for the area into GPSWatch supported map files.
The new OMD tool displays the list of map files that was downloaded for the given request thus helping you the mange your downloads better. The new tool also supports Mac and Linux platforms.

Please use the same password key sent to you for the previous mapdownloader version while uncompressing it.

I've also already sent a mail to iNTERCHAIN Solutions to address the problem. Same problem here. Even with the 'example' parameters in the PDF document it does not work.
But I'm sure they are working on the problem....
