Installation pb on Nokia N80: certificate issue

Hello,

I have a brand new nokia N80-1 (Symbian S60 3rd edition), and I have issues installing GPSWatch: when I launch the installation, it tells me that there is a problem with the certificate. And the installation fails...

Any ideas?

Cheers,

Nicolas

I'm having the same issue

I'm having the same issue with my Nokia N80. I have disabled the certificate check from application settings but it doesn't help. Any change to get unsigned JAR package for the demo application?

Tommi

Hi, Can you try installing

Hi,

Can you try installing the Nokia Series 40 application which is unsigned and does not use certificates. Ignore any warnings raised while installing the application.

If this does not work, you can try the series 60 version, but ensure that you rightly import the provided security certificate. (The instruction manual has installation instructions)

If you still face problems, drop in a mail at support@i10n.com

Thanks,

Hi, The Nokia Series 40

Hi,

The Nokia Series 40 application installed and worked okay. But now I've found out that the N80 has some issues with the bluetooth connection that makes it unusable with GPS units. The N80 randomly drops the bluetooth connection and it seems that it is a firware issue according to many posts in Nokia's support forum. I'll wait for the next firmware update and then check back on your software. Looks promising though.

The N80 bluetooth issue

The N80 bluetooth issue should be corrected now: firmware v4.XXX is supposed to eliminate the problem.
