I just got GPSWatch Platinum and after reading the manual I have some problems using it.
1. downloaded maps are not cached. I have created e:/GPSWatch/data. When zooming map, the application try to save current map but I got always - Error writing: null message. Every time I allow acces to the data when security allert displays.
2. I have created my maps - .png and .gv files, saved to the memory stick.
Should be saved in e:/GPSWatch/data also? How to load it? In the Import data are options Import GPX, KML, LOC, Tracepoint only.

If I understood your problem right, you were looking for Custom Maps loading feature on Platinum version right?

The locate on map image is actually a bit complex to use owing to the effort involved in creating a map, gv file, etc so the successor of the Pro version downloaded maps automatically from GPRS.

I'm sorry that you were misled by the presentation of features on our website (actually we have it clearly told in http://www.i10n.com/features page).

We dont want to disappoint you anyways, we can ship you a custom build that has both MapLoad from internet and Mapload from custom files. Just give us a couple of days time.

Today I played little bit with OMD. It is very useful tool. Unfortunately, GPSWatch Platinum doesn't read the downloaded maps from memory stick in my phone. I just get a blue screen with a black grid. As I wrote in my previous message, it doesn't cache maps also (error writing: null). Seems, GPSW has a serious problem accessing memory stick in my SonyEricsson D750i (K750i).

Hi, the problem was noticed in the previous version. I got a new OMD tooĺ. I did not try to download maps using OMD in 2.5 yet.
