Exporting trace points

Hi,

Does anyone know of good software (preferably free/cheap) to plot tracepoints on maps?

I have been unable to get the export to GPX format to work, so unable to test with google earth plus, and importing the tracepoints in .txt format plots the points at the wrong coordinates - what format are the trace points recorded in?

Regards,
Tim

Apologies - I searched a bit

Apologies - I searched a bit more and found out that the coordinates are in radians - once converted to degrees they show up in the right place

However, google earth plus only imports 100 places so only shows the first few miles of my route...

EDIT: it appears google earth will not import paths/routes as generic .txt files but only places

EDIT2: Exporting as GPX format works great for importing in Googleearth - it just takes a minute to generate the file one you click store. A progress display would help impatient users like myself! :-)
